Nash CC Disc Golf Course Sees Strong Community Impact in 2025

ROCKY MOUNT, North Carolina (February 26, 2026) – Nash Community College’s on-campus disc golf course is a valued recreational asset for students, employees and the broader community, according to a 2025 UDisc Recreation Impact Report.

Data collected through UDisc, the leading global disc golf app, shows that 179 players logged 567 rounds on the NCC course in 2025. Those rounds accounted for more than 1,451 kilometers walked, over 800 hours of outdoor recreation and more than 2 million steps taken.

The NCC course, known as “The Community @ NCC,” features 18 holes and offers a free, accessible outdoor activity that promotes physical activity and mental wellness. While the data reflects only rounds voluntarily logged in the UDisc app, overall participation is likely higher.

The report also highlights strong community engagement and regional visitation. In 2025, 100 players experienced the NCC course for the first time. The course also attracted visitors traveling from outside the immediate area, including 101 players who traveled more than 30 miles, 27 who traveled more than 150 miles and 14 who traveled more than 300 miles to play.

Globally, the NCC course ranked No. 199 most played in North Carolina.

Disc golf is an affordable outdoor sport similar to traditional golf but played with flying discs and targets instead of clubs and balls.

Since its establishment in 2012, the NCC course has recorded 3,231 total rounds and 780 unique players, totaling more than 5,100 recreation hours over its lifetime.

NCC partners with Rocky Mount Disc Golf and other community stakeholders to support outdoor recreation opportunities on campus. The course enhances campus life while strengthening community connections and encouraging healthy activities.
