About

North Carolina’s public vocational rehabilitation (VR) programs help people with disabilities achieve their goals for competitive employment and careers.

If you have a disability and want to find a job, keep working or advance professionally, VR can help you chart your path to a career with a future in North Carolina. Eligible consumers will partner with a counselor to develop an individualized plan for employment that can include counseling, education, training, job placement assistance, assistive technology and many other services. There is no cost to apply or to find out if you are eligible for VR services and we provide services statewide through two partner divisions:

If you have a disability that prevents you from finding, keeping or advancing in competitive employment, the Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities (EIPD) can help you achieve your career goals.
